Hi there. :) I'm Ashley. Thank you so much for reading my blog! I hope that my posts keep you coming back for more. Here is a little bit about me:
I am a single mom (definitely not by choice, but sometimes life gives you things that are beyond your control and you have to make the best of it) to 2 amazing little girls. They are the light of my life and the inspiration for many of my blog posts. They make me laugh one second, and want to pull my hair out the next! :)
I am slightly (okay, maybe a bit more than slightly) OCD, which makes being a mom even more difficult because my girls LOVE to make the biggest messes possible and don't share my passion for alphabetizing their books and toys! ;) In fact, as I type this, Emma is finger painting the kitchen table. Sigh.
My favorite pasttimes are reading, blogging, and browsing Pinterest. I have great ambitions to make/do everything I pin, but somehow I never seem to get around to many of the projects on my to-do list. Oh well, a girl can dream, right? :)
I earned a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Mary Washington in 2005, but wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do. I worked in Marketing for a year before deciding to go back to school to obtain my teaching license. I got hired on for the 2007-2008 school year as a 7th grade Language Arts and Reading teacher. I am still teaching the same thing and I love it! The kids are great and there is NEVER a dull moment! :) I earned my Masters of Education in May 2009.
